Lincroft, New Jersey Speed Traps

As you head East on Rt 520 ( Neumann Springs Road) there is a turn in the road. It is just past CBA. The cops sit on the right shoulder and it is impossible to see them until you are 30 yards away.

I got pulled over my a Middletown PD officer a few months ago for going about 66 in a 40, traffic was backed up; and all of a sudden this cop comes out and lets cars go…ok…then he waves me off onto a side street, tells me I was speeding. Usual set up is 2 cars on a side street, and a cop on foot hiding behind the bushes, clocking people with a radar gun in hand…totally out of site. Beware, Middletown cops like to invent new types of traps, and be careful when you approach the parkway, they stand behind the bushes 2-3 days a week; and they will rail you in that trap no matter who you are…first aid, firefighter, even PD. Yes, I know an officer who got a speeding ticket near that trap. The seargant who runs it has something out for people!

Speed Limit was recently changed from 50MPH to 40MPH. Cops have many places to sit due to the grade of the road-you can’t see them until your on top of them. Also clock you going the opposite way.
