Police will watch speeders headed down Prospect towards town from Blackburn to Tulip from position on Larned Rd.
Ashland Road near Memorial Field
Police car often parks in Oak Knoll driveway behind hedge or in Memorial Field parking lot on Larned Lane to catch folks who speed up on the wide part of Ashland Road by Oak Knoll School and Memorial Field.
Ashland Road at Mountain Ave
Cop will park in Linda Lane shooting traffic heading down Ashland into Summit center. 35 MPH zone
River Road near Fay Place
After exiting Rte 24 E. at exit 7, (and being used to highway speeds) patrol cars can be found in the office building on your right before you get to the Exxon station and Broadway Diner. (Same trap would be encountered after passing Short Hills Mall on JFK Parkway which becomes River Road)
Balusrol Road near Interstate 78 overpass
As you come down Baltusrol Rd heading towards Summit there is a steep decline and you pick up speed fairly quickly. THe posted limit is 40 mph but by just coasting you can easily reach 55mph. The officer will tag you as you cross into Summit from Springfield just as you cross Rt. 78.
He’ll be on the right hidden by big bushes at is called Old Coach Rd (No longer in use)
