On Cooper Street between Evergreen Ave. & Wal Mart

Woodbury, New JerseyMar 18, 20100 Comments

Traveling along Cooper Street near the former Woodbury Country Club – between Evergreen Ave. and the new Wal Mart (not far from the Lakebridge Community), there are speed traps set up along the side streets on both sides of Cooper Street. The radar units are aimed at the traffic along Evergreen Ave. This is a busy major thoroughfare with only a 25 mph limit.

They sit on random side streets just far enough back from the corner that you can’t see them close to where the Heritages convienience store. they do both east and west bound the speed limit is 25MPH rediculously low for the conditions of the road. However there are LOTS of children around this area!

Evergreen Avenue near Cooper Street

While going from Cooper Street to Route 45 South, Evergreen avenue allows you to skip the main town of Woodbury. There are few streetlights and a nearly abandoned mall and traffic circle on Evergreen Ave that is where they wait for you – the speed limit is 25 mph, and I’ve gotten stopped for doing 35 in that zone – speeding ticket for going 35 mph!.

Evergreen Ave. between Red Bank Ave. and Hunter St.

Police car hides behind the trees in the parking lot of the Evergreen Ave. School, at the North (Exit) driveway. Waiting for cars coming across the bridge past St. Stevens church and the nursing home; however, they will be happy to pull you over if you are coming in the opposite direction, from traffic light at Hunter St. Because he’s at the driveway, he can get you going either way. Speed limit is 25 (unreasonably low, especially if you are coming across the bridge past the church). I have seen many cars pulled over and ticketed.
