Applegate Rd (on the bridge over Highway 99)   Atwater, California

It's only 25 on that bridge... okay, that's fine. But there are always cops waiting for you to go at least 26, and, when you get pulled over, you get slammed with an expensive ticket. Cops from everywhere go crazy on that bridge. It can be Atwater PD, Merced Sheriff, CHP (there's a CHP station right there, go figure), or even Merced PD. Be careful in that area.

Atwater Blvd and 1st st   Atwater, California

There is usually a local patrol car sitting at the old abandoned convenience store in the mornings and evenings, catching the commuter traffic. A patrol car will usually sit behind the building to obscure line of sight, or on the side of the building. Keep an eye out and give the local APD a wave!

Hwy. 99 Northbound to Livingston, CA   Atwater, California

This newly opened 3 lane stretch of Hwy. 99 just North of Atwater to the City of Livingston is the latest and greatest speed trap and easy pickings for the CHP. Slow down. In this area they concentrate on the straights and avoid running traps in the curvey or around the over passes. Beware!

State Highway 99 near Grove Avenue   Atwater, California

heading northbound the road makes kind of an s curve, and as it comes down off the overpass the cop sits on the right so you have no time to slow down. I was in a group of 3 cars and i was the one to be singled out.

Bellevue Road near Winton Way   Atwater, California

Not really a speed trap. But a NO RIGHT TURN trap. Cops hide in apartment driveway behind Hollywood video.Not visible until you drive by them. Winton way has a no right turn on red light. And now a new NO LEFT TURN sign out of Parking lot of hollywood video.Which is just down from winton way. BEWARE! They are there multiple times in one day. I should know, I live in the apartments!
