Rolling police cars on US-54 north of Tularosa

Everywhere else in the US, I’ve had no problems; I run close enough to the speed limit to stay out of trouble, BUT, I’ve had two tickets right here, and both times I suspect the officer exaggerated to speed by a few MPH, to make it seem more ligit. This place has a major speed trap industry, that and rolling radar is known to be far less than accurate (which I suspect they use to their advantage!).

More of an enforcement zone than a single trap. Rolling radar at all hours.

Now that much of it is under construction to 4 lanes, you have to go 45 mph for many miles.

The officers hide along the side of the road in business driveways and are very hard to see. They are very hard on out of staters and truckers.

Coming down off the hill into the town you had better brake. The limit signs go from 65, 55, 45 all in a little over 100 yards. If you hit the 45 sign and are not going 45, you get a ticket. I did for 48 in a 45.
