Oak Valley Parkway   Beaumont, California

Newly re-opened Oak Valley Parkway at the bottom of the hill at Oak Drive. The re-opened road leads to the 10 freeway and right by the Chevron station is prime hunting for Beaumont PD. Times are tough and the city needs revenue.

State Route S/R 60 near US Highway I-10   Beaumont, California

I/We are the CHP officers that work S/R 60 through the "Badlands" from I-10 to Gilman Springs. I/We want you to know where we "sit" with out Lidar units. This area of S/R 60 is posted for 65-mph. We usually don't even think of stopping you unless you are at 80-mph or better (but sometimes we'll take a 79 or 78), so giving you up to 14-mph over in a "maximum" speed zone is being more than fair. So, here are the Mile Post Markers we sit at; 29.50 (W/B west of Western Knolls); 29.00 (W/B between Western Knolls and Jack Rabbit Trail); 28.50 (W/B just east of Jack Rabbit Trail); 27.00 (W/B about one mile west of Jack Rabbit Trail); 26.50 (W/B E/O the "Summit"); 25.00 (W/B at the "Summit"); 24.00 (W/B about one mile W/O the "Summit). So these are all the hot spots, we want you to know we are here so you won't drive like maniacs through this area, particularly W/B in the first curve to the right W/O the summit, just look at all the vehicle strikes in the center median there. Happy motoring! At least you know where to pay attention in the "Badlands"
