Delmar, New York Speed Traps
Between overpass and CVS on Delaware Ave.
Before the overpass, speed is 30 mph. After the overpass, speed limit is 40 mph. About .1 mile after the 40 mph speed limit sign, the speed drops again to 30 mph just before the Elsmere school. Cops sit under the underpass and nab you just before the 40 mph. The signs make no sense other than entrapment.

State Route 32 near Town Park
As you travel northbound on Rt 32 the speed limit changes from 55MPH to 35MPH at the top of a hill at the exit of an easy left bend. Usually thhe local police officers will be sitting on the southbound shoulder 1/2 to 3/4 of a mile north of the speed change. There are two speed limt signs very close together at the speed change point, but the highway is well suited to a higher rate of speed, with the exception of a town park many yards off the west side of the highway, behind a four foot fence. Occasionally the officers will be hiding on the north side of a barn partway up the hill on the left side. It’s still 55MPH at that point. but they can radar both ways from that location.
