Between Miller Hill Rd and I84 Troopers are hiding and patrolling. There’s usually a trooper pulled under the overpass by the I84 exit

Fishkill, NY I-84 eastbound side MM 48.0

Fishkill, New YorkSep 02, 20120 Comments

I passed this location and noticed a man in black fatigues sitting in what looked like a deer stand. A half a mile down the road I was stopped and issued a speeding ticket. The cop said that I was observed speed. He did not say that he saw me speeding. His name was on the ticket but there was also another cops name on it too. That cop was listed as the laser operator. Is this even legal?

St. Mary’s Catholic Church Parking Lot, Jackson Street

Fishkill, New YorkMay 09, 20100 Comments

The speed limit on Jackson Street is 30 mph, and of course it’s easy to slip up to 35. There is almost always a cruiser or two, sometimes 3, in that parking lot, facing in different directions to jump out and nail you no matter which direction you’re heading.

High View Road, Fishkill, off of Osborne Hill Road

Fishkill, New YorkMay 09, 20100 Comments

Five or 6 times I’ve turned onto High View Road to see a cruiser sitting on the WRONG SIDE OF THE ROAD, VERY CLOSE TO THE END OF THE ROAD WHERE HIGH VIEW AND OSBORNE HILL INTERSECT. I CAME VERY CLOSE TO HITTING THESE IDIOTICALLY PLACED POLICE CARS WHO WERE SITTING THERE TO CATCH CARS GOING BY AT MORE THAN THE 35 MPH LIMIT OF THE AREA. SO BE AWARE, NOT ONLY OF THE SPEED TRAP, BUT OF THE JERKS WHO ARE PARKED WHERE UNSUSPECTING DRIVERS CAN TURN ONTO THE ROAD AND POSSIBLY SMASH INTO THEM.
