Cops hang around the change from 40 to 30 entering the village from the New Jersey side. The road is curvy and hilly, and the sign doesn’t have a warning sign that the speed limit is about to change. This has become of the popular locations to trap people who didn’t immediately slow down at the sign.

As driver approaches Greenwood Lake from Warwick, NY, the cop sits on the edge of the speedlimit change on the left-side of the street pointing his radar at the first 30mph. sign encountered. The speed limit up to that point is 55mph although it is only posted in Warwick.

police are always out here. its a very scary set up in this small local police department. a total rip off. town should be avoided at all cost!
