Minetto, New York Speed Traps

Town of Minetto police sit in the far driveway of the school – just before the 40 mph speed limit sign. They catch people who are increasing their speed before reaching the sign. AND REMEMBER – when school is in session, the posted school zone speed limit is in effect until 6:00 P.M. When turning onto Co. Rt. 8 from Route 48, the speed limit sign is often obstructed by tree branches. It is also located at the very beginning of the road, so if you are distracted by other traffic, pedestrians, etc., you may not see the sign.
