State Highway 133 /Somerstown Turnpike near Conte Lane
I have only seen this one used during daylight hours. Cops sit in this newly constructed side street and check speeds. Simple, and well out of sight. Most ofter traffic is heavy enough they wont make it out directly behind you and wont catch up to you until after Brookside Lane. They then pull you over in a very unsafe spot – where trucks come around the bend and have no warning. They have several other spots along 133 between 9A and 100 in both directions.
State Highway 133/Somerstown Road near Brookside Lane
New Castle PD will sit in the triangle at Brookside Lane and check speeds of West Bound (towards Ossining) drivers as they crest the hill just after Edgewood Rd. The speed goes 35 to 30 at this point – and they only give 5 over, so make sure you are UNDER 35 when you pass the 30 sign. It is not uncommon for them to sit here at night with no lights on. They spend a lot of time here during the mid-days and morning rush hour. They have several other spots along 133 between 9A and 100 in both directions.
Pinesbridge Road near Taconic Parkway
This guy sits in a drive way about a quarter mile past McDonald Lane/Hoggs Cross Road (when traveling towards Ossining). He often sits right in the driveway of the nursery thats located on the road. The roads downhill, and its easy to forget how fast your going. Almost lost my liscense on this one.
