North Greenbush, New York Speed Traps
Sub Station @ Bloomingrove Dr. just North of Reynolds Rd.
Police hang out in the entrance to the Sub Station. Hard to see if you are traveling on Bloomingrove Dr. and easy to spot if you stop at the stop sign at the bottom of Reynolds Rd. Usually catch speeders on Bloomingrove (limit is 35mph), rolling stops, and passing on the shoulder. North Greenbush cops will pull you over the second they see you even thinking about passing on the shoulder.
Rt. 4 Just past 43 north bound
Cops sit in fire station parking lot or cut road nearby.
Speed limit drops from 50 to 40 goin south. Love headlights and tailights out. One regularly just pulls over women. Sat and watch him on several occasions. Ignores guys doin just about everything, But a women with something hanging from rearveiw enough for him.
County Route 68
There are always N. Greenbush police on Route 68 enforcing the 30 or 35 MPH limit depending on the strip of road. In fact, their police office is right on the beginning of Rt 68 just before the school. The police are sticklers about the speed limit there, claiming they’ve had "lots of problems" on that road. Warning, the road has many twists, turns and hills that make it nearly impossible to see ahead if a police car is there.
Rt. 4
Police sit in old loading-dock entrance to Yonder Farms next to Ken Feiden’s Furniture. Car always faces south alongside north-bound shoulder. Always present at night (especially late).
