Scarsdale, New York Speed Traps
Bronx River Parkway near Exit Number 12
Marked NYS trooper or County Police patrol car stands on shoulder of rest area on southbound side of Bronx River Parkway before Crane Rd exit in Scarsdale. Possible photo radar use, as trooper is seen looking through a speed measuring device mounted on a tripod. This is a blind turn and patrol car is difficult to spot until last minute, afterwhich you are already clocked at that point.
Mamaroneck Road near Leatherstocking Road
Cop sits at bottom of hill on Mamaroneck Rd.(main road) near school where speed limit drops to 15MPH. I have been busted by this one before, be careful.
Post Road near Kingston Road
Cop sits on the side of the road, hidden by trees for people heading towards white plains. They are there lots of times at night, but they are there in the day too.
Central Park Avenue
Right before the four corners…right after venecian pizza is a speed trap by a police officer in a black car…usually hiding in the parking lots in that area along central park
Post Road near Scarsdale High School
There are speedtraps along Post Rd. in Scarsdale, especially near the high school. Often, at nights, there is a cop looking for speed offenders hiding in the high school driveway right off of Post Rd.
