Rt 2

Troy, New YorkApr 09, 20190 Comments

Undercover black Impala along Rt 2 going East out of Troy towards Brunswick line, they sit any place along the road ( pull over area across from cemetery, driveway of houses and side roads). Speed limit is 30 and most cars fly up and down that area, so beware. I have seen multiple cars at any given day or time pulled over and ticketed.

Pawling Ave Sacred Heart School

Troy, New YorkFeb 07, 20190 Comments

This is a school zone that has no end school zone signs in either direction. The lights flash from early AM untill around 530 pm the entire time, and it is a huge Troy money maker. Cops, busses, any official vehicle fly through here since the rules don’t apply to them and since this area is NOT a safety concern, just a trap. The sign can flash on days the school is closed, and you will get a ticket anyway. For every kid you rarely see around here you will see 30-100 citations given.

South Lake Ave./Euclid Ave. @Stop Sign

Troy, New YorkSep 06, 20180 Comments

Police sit on opposite side of Euclid Ave. several cars back. It is a 2 way stop on South Lake Ave. If you stop , but not completely they will go after you. They usually set up shop after 1:00pm and sometimes till 4:00/4:30 pm.

U-Haul parking lot on River St just north of Hedley Bldg

Troy, New YorkJan 22, 20150 Comments

Just north of the Hedley Building on River St is a U-Haul lot that is typically empty. It is directly across from the Hedley’s north parking lot. TPD sits here watching speed in the 30 zone and also watching the traffic light at River and Hutton St. When you’re traveling southbound on River St, the cruiser is obscured by a building.

6th Avenue near Troy Fire Dept.

Troy, New YorkNov 19, 20130 Comments

TPD sits in Fire Dept parking lot on 6th Avenue watching southbound traffic traveling toward Federal Street. 30 zone. From this position, they also have an eye on the traffic light on Jacob Street and 6th. Don’t run this light. When they’re not parked, patrol is still heavy so be careful.
