Police sit in a parking lot just south of the school. Parking lot is slightly elevated so it is difficult to see police cars. The speed limit drops from 45 to 30 for the school zone although children are not even permitted to walk to school in the area.

Interstate I-87 Northway near Mile Marker 33.3
Northbound, about 2 miles north of exit 15 of the northway is an unmarked u-turn that is utilized by the New York State Police. It is not maintained during the winter months, but if there isn’t snow on the ground, anything more than 74 will garner you a ticket.
