West Martin Ave., near Woodbridge Ct.

Amherst, OhioDec 27, 20160 Comments

Early in the morning (4:45am-6:00am), an officer sits in the sewer lift station’s entrance near Woodbridge with his lights completely off. The posted speed limit is 25mph and they have been known to nab people for doing even 2-3mph over. They will not accept that you were doing 2-3 over because of coasting down the hill….you must ride your brakes and do 25 through there or you will get a ticket if they clock you.

58 near Rt 2

Amherst, OhioDec 25, 20130 Comments

A cop will occasionally sit in the old bank parking lot between Taco Bell and Denny’s. He is usually facing south east, trying to get traffic coming from cooper foster or from the Lorain area. Probably those coming off Rt 2 as well, but in his or her location, it would be hard to get out and get those going towards cooper foster or Lorain.

Cooper Foster and Oakpoint

Down the curvy road coming from Oakpoint onto Cooper Foster, there will be a cop that travels down that road around 10-10:30pm every night. I worked in the Oakpoint plaza and would always see a cop roll around those turns every night coming home. It’s a 25MPH zone and no one ever goes that slow. I’m sure they go through there very often during the day as well.

State Rt 2 eastbound, just east of Oak Point Rd exit

Amherst, OhioOct 20, 20101 Comments

Police have begun hiding behind a bridge that crosses over the highway just east of the Oak Point rd exit, facing eastbound. Often they’re completely hidden until you’re right next to them. So far only Amherst police, no State Troopers spotted yet.

Oak Point Rd North of Deerfield shopping & housing

I live in this area and see a police clocking almost daily. I thought this section of Oak Point was Lorain, but I’ve seen both Lorain and Amherst cops sitting in the ‘field’ (land between houses) on the west side of the road between Deerfield and oak Point Estates. They got the person behind last week.
