Dayton, Ohio Speed Traps
east and west bound RT35 and Abbey Ave intersection
Subdued camera radar unit mid-block trailer unit.
I-675 northbound – mile marker 15-16
Right around mile marker 15 and after Exit 15 (around the corner) to mile 16. State hwy patrol cars there about 2-5 days a week – usually around evening rush hours. There’s a small drop in the road and they love to sit in the median area (in the dip). You can’t see them until you crest the very small hill. Speed limit is 65. You’d better be doing less than 70 pay. The other area – around the corner and going up the hill toward Fairfield Rd. They nail you as you come around the corner.
N. Keowee St. near Stanley Ave.
Drop in speed limit after entering city, for no good reason other than the camera trap in violation of Dayton R.C. 70.121. (Camera is not at an intersection as required by local law.)
S. Smithville Rd. near Marimont
This is a camera trap in violation of Dayton R.C. 70.121. (Camera is not at an intersection as required by local law.)
I-75 Southbound at Edwin Moses
Construction between 35 and Edwin Moses is complete but the speed limit didn’t go up from 45. Traffic normally does 65, but look for a cruiser on the right shoulder just after Stewart St.
