Fairborn, Ohio Speed Traps
On SR 444 North of Rt 235 as you approach the city limits.
Police shoot fish in a barrel facing downhill toward Fairborn right in front of the bowling alley. The road has trees on both sides and looks very similar to the 50 mph stretch just a bit north outside of the city limits. Your natural tendency is to ramp up as your ascending uphill leaving town but beware it is still 35 mph there.
South off St Rt 235 and St Rt 4 off I-70
Ohio State Highway Patrol routinely patrols SR 235 and SR 4 south of Interstate 70 going towards Dayton. Speed limit is 55 mph. I-70 is 65 mph, and many people coming off the ramp continue to drive 65 mph as they merge onto SR 235 south. OSHP sometimes sit off a side road with radar trap and will pull people over if the exceed the speed limit.
Yellow Springs Rd/Fairfield Pk
Rural setting, driving toward the 235 from Yellow Spgs- as the road widens, you come into Fairborn, and go down a large hill. I got nabbed going down the hill, 70 in a 55 zone.
S on Beaver Valley Road 1/4mi. before New Germany-Trebein
After you go under the 675 overpass and drive through a short winding stretch of trees, there’s often a police car waiting at your left in the parking lot of Pin High golf range.
Sandhill Road
Fairborn Police usually park at the entrance to the water treatment plant, at the end of Sunset Drive, to catch anyone going over 25mph coming up the hill. You usually can’t see them until it’s too late.
