Gallipolis, Ohio Speed Traps

Beginning with the Memorial Silver Bridge on the state line with West Virigina on Rt 35 west all the way to Rt 23 north and on to Columbus is a major Speedtrap. This is a very bad area for Tractor Trailer Rigs.

These poor Ohio counties use this roadway as a major part of their county budgets.

There is a black sheriff car that sits at the intersection of State Route 7 and State Route 218 at Cooks Auto Sales across from Mikes Food Mart 218 that checks for speeders. He is there all thru out the day and especially at night. He faces the Stop sign that is on the intersection of 218. There is also on State route 7 down by the Old Clay Elementary School a Sheriff car that watches for speeders in the school zone between 8 a.m. up untill 5 p.m. Also on State Route 7 After you pass the Super 8 Motel on the left hand side going towards Cheshire there is a Speed trap as well as a Check Station. They mainly pull over truck drivers but I have seen a few regular vehichles that have been pulled over there as well. As for the time of day they set up at diffrent times and it is off and on thru out the month. Also on State Route 7 going towards Cheshire there is Highway State Patrole and Sheriff Department vehicals that like to park at the rest area entrance and watch for speeders. I know they use radar but as for any other type of things that they use I am not for sure.
