Astoria Road near State Route 725

This road has only something like 6 houses on it. And a Nursing home, then a long stretch of nothing (well there is a park at the other end too). The local police hide in the nursing home behind the trees and then get you for speeding. They do this alot. My uncle used to be the engineer who set the speed limits for county roads and he told me (while we were traveling on Astoria Rd) that the speed limit of 25 mph is ridiculous. He stated that it should be more like 40 mph. The police officer did not show me my speed and didn’t fill out several items on the ticket. He didn’t state type of enforcement. He checked that the traffic was moderate. There was NO traffic on the road at that time of day. It was lunch time on Sunday! I didn’t pass a single car on that road. He conveniently didn’t fill in the time of day either.

He also used the local ordinance number so that all the funds would go to the Village.

I am fighting it and am going to send out discovery tomorrow.

Did I mention that I do not believe AT ALL that I was going that fast? He didn’t pull me over until I was well into the Township.
