James Road down the hill in the Church parking Lot!   Granville, Ohio

Very unfair spot. Two big hills with the trap in the Church parking lot in the valley of the hills.....45 mph, but your car coasts about 50 mph! So you have to brake all the way down from both directions! I've gotten 2 tickets in the same spot and I know the trap is there! I was guilty , but I told the judge it was an unfair spot! He sort of laughed!

Red Lights   Granville, Ohio

Be very careful about right on red. Downtown and at Cherry Valley & I-16,, right on red is restricted during daytime hours. it is clearly posted, but if you're not looking for it.... They give tickets even when there is no conceivable reason for not making the turn. I learned the hard way.

Welsh Hills Road near Corporation Limit   Granville, Ohio

As you are heading into Granville from the North, there is little warning that the speed limit drops from 45 to 35. The officers wait just over the hill or in a driveway shielded by trees on the leFort They are often by the line where you leave the township and enter the village.

Newark-Granville Road near Jones Road   Granville, Ohio

This is a country road that connects two cities where common sense tells you that the speed limit is most likely 45, if not 55 mph. However, the limit is set artificially low at 35 mph. This catches most motorists off guard that are just enjoying the countryside. The meter maids in patrol cars are a bit overzealous in their enforcement of this area.

State Highway 16 near State Highway 37   Granville, Ohio

State Route 16 and 37 split. This is where I got caught. Speed limit is 55. Cop hides on ramp headed westbound sometimes. Cop got two of us at once. I was also once pulled over on Route 37 for going over the edge line. There was no ticket, but it shows the level of harassment here.

Speeding Tickets

You deserve every speeding ticket you get. You can complain all you want after the fact, but it's true.
Find out why.

It's one of the "great" American past times: complaining about unfair speeding tickets. There are two types of people when it comes to complaining about this particular type of traffic ticket. Which group are you in?
