North Ohio St.
Turning onto N. Ohio St. off of East Main you go about a quarter mile then the road curves slighty. Many mornings around 7:30 there is a Greenville P.D patrol car parked a couple hundred feet away or so,facing south, running radar. Good position to nab people as they round the curve heading out of town, and to get drivers coming into town off of 121. One morning the officer was parked behind a decent sized pile of brush in front of one of the residences. It’s 35 until just before the intersection at Russ Road, then it goes to 55.
Chestnut Street
Speed limit is listed @ 25. Motorists traveling North on Rt. 121 that turn onto Chestnut Street have to drop from 55 mph to 35 when they enter City Limits, then to 25 when they hit Chestnut (approx. 2 blocks). It’s a fairly wide city street, and straight as an arrow. Locals like to sit on either side of railroad tracks, where there is a slight hill, and catch those going too fast.
