Harrisburg, Ohio Speed Traps
High Street
The speed limit on High Street is 25 mph, although it should be 35. Driving north through the town, the officer will sit beyond the crest of a small so as not to be seen.
Very end of Columbus Street before Norton Rd. begins
Absolute textbook speed trap. 35/25 = $140.00 fine. 2 Hillbilly cops in a hicktown. They park in front of a residence at the end of Columbus Street. Mostly in the evenings. Even the towns people hate them.
State Highway St. Rt. 62&3 near Columbus Street
Stretch of roadway in question is not in corporation limits of Village of Harrisburg but the local police keep writing tickets on it and Mayor fining people unreasonable amounts for a light out or a few miles over the speed limit.
High Street near US Highway 62
These are just local cops that can’t get a job in a real police force. They will nab you at 5 over. The posted speed limit is 25, but go under that or you will get a ticket.
Route 62 / Columbus street.
Typical small hick town with the usual band of poorly dressed ‘officers’. Enforcement is not done on a regular basis. Look for police cars with lights out hidden in church yard or restarant lot. Speed limit 25. Sometimes up to 2 on patrol at once.
