From the beginning of SR 301 in LaGrange all the way through LaGrange, enforcement is heavy. Their radar can tell them the speed of two vehicles at a time. They are often in the McDonald’s Parking lot North of the Traffic Circle. More often they are just South of the Rail Road Tracks in the parking lot of the Police Station or across the Street at the bank or on Commerce Street. They do not care that you might not be traveling at an unsafe speed, they will ticket for a few miles over the speed limit. The only way to correct their behavior is to demand a trial at the County Seat before a real judge – their Mayor’s Court is a rubber stamp and collects a lot of revenue.
