Lucasville, Ohio Speed Traps
Just north of US 23 and OH 348 intersection
Trap set mostly to catch northbound traffic. Wide open four lane highway that should be at least 60mph starts at only 35mph for about 1000 ft. Most miss the sign. Can also trap drivers going southbound if they don’t slow down coming to the red light, as it drops from 55mph to 35mph with no warning.
Honestly, all of US 23 from Lucasville to Columbus could be considered a trap, as that road is safe enough to be set at 60mph, and they clock ya for anything near that.
Charlies restaurant and at the Old Scioto Breeze drivein
Scioto County Sheriff Deputy hides on parking lot – out of sight with laser gun and clocks traffic.

State Trooper sits near the Rail Road tracks behind a row of trees that is on the right side of the Northbound lanes just north of Fairground Road. Then radios it to the troopers that pull you over at the northern light of Lucasville at State Route 348 and US 23.
Then at the South end of Lucasville troopers sit in a pull off behind a bank in a curve and get you as you come out of town.
