Mariemont, Ohio Speed Traps
The Mariemont square
Today I was pulled over coming from Madisonville. Apparently every road around Mariemont middle school is considered school zone, every road to and from the square.
The cop that pulled me over had another car pulled over 5 min. After He let me go. Another small town funding their police department with school zones well beyond the boundaries of the school.
School zone immediately after village of Mariemont
There is one particular cop that sits somewhere near the school every morning and catches speeders. Almost every morning he has someone pulled over and I got ticketed there as well. Even if there are no children in sight and school is already in session, make sure you pay attention to the school zone sign. If the lights are on and flashing, make sure you’re doing 20 mph through that zone or this guy will pull you over and ticket you. He has a zero tolerance policy and you will not get out of a ticket if you get pulled over in this zone.
Miami Avenue
Coming down the Miami Avenue hill toward downtown. They are very often sitting in the parallel parking spots across from the new condos.
Watch your speed coming down the hill, the speed limit is only 25 mph.
US Highway 50 near Plainville and Miami Road
Watch out driving through Mariemont, Ohio! This city is as bad as Terrace Park, Ohio. The cops here are very aggressive. The speed limit is 25 MPH through the town, and the MPD will pull you over for doing 26 or 27 MPH. It’s ridiculous! I know several people that were pulled over for going 26 MPH and were never let out of a ticket. The officers are very arrogant and insistant on writing tickets. If you can, definitely avoid going through this Cincinnati suburb, and don’t do business there. Cops make enough money from pulling so-called "speeders" over.
