Lockwood Road near US Highway 250   Milan, Ohio

When heading into Milan from Norwalk, the speed limit drops abruptly from 50 to 25 and police officers like to wait in the Tenneco factory parking lot. Sometimes they will be amongst cars and difficult to see until it's too late. Other times they will be near the stop sign that allows those on Lockwood to get back on to 250.

Coming from Milan headed towards Norwalk is equally as risky. The police will sit behind a fence with a red building or near Tenneco office building and be difficult to spot unless you are paying careful attention.

I lived on this road for 16 years and seeing someone pulled over is not only common but expected.

Interstate 80/90 near Mile Marker 116   Milan, Ohio

As anyone who has ever driven on the turnpike in Ohio the posted speed limit of 65 is never followed but strictly enforced. The trap sets up using an airplane to attain your speed. They use calibrated stop watches and lines painted on the road every 1/4 mile. (This method is illegal in most states!) Your fuzz busters are worthless for this type of enforcement. The ground unit is parked either along side the road behind a bridge or around the bend out of sight and is not running radar so you don't see him until he's behind you with his lights on. My best advice is watch for the lines painted along side the road at mile marker 116 and check the air for people with stop watches.

State Route 250 near State Route 250   Milan, Ohio

There are only about 1/4 mile in there jurisdiction on state rt 250.They use a computer to run your plates and will pull you over. They alter the point of the trffic stop so the money will go through the Village court so the money will go to the village instead of the state. They also will tow your vechile for the least infraction from your own driveway which would be out of their jurisdiction. I know I've lived here for over 50 years.

State Rt. 601   Milan, Ohio

State Rt. 601 from Rt 20 to Rt 113 is the cross over for Cedar Point traffic up to Sandusky from Rt 20. Also the shortest way to Norwalk Raceway Park from the Ohio Turnpike. Chief Ward likes to keep the raceing limited to Norwalk Raceway Park and not this cute litte town which is the Birth Place of Thomas Edison and in the summer time has many walking tourists through its antique shops.

Speeding Tickets

You deserve every speeding ticket you get. You can complain all you want after the fact, but it's true.
Find out why.

It's one of the "great" American past times: complaining about unfair speeding tickets. There are two types of people when it comes to complaining about this particular type of traffic ticket. Which group are you in?
