Mogadore, Ohio Speed Traps
Rt. 43 at Mogadore Reservoir
Driving north or south on Rt. 43, when going through Mogadore reservoir, a state highway patrol car sits beside the Inn located on the north end of the stretch of road. This is especially the case on a Sunday morning. They seem to get people going north or south, as it’s easy to drift over the 45 mph limit while going downhill into the area from either direction. Once in a while it’s a local Brimfield police, but mainly a state highway patrolman. I don’t know why Sunday morning is such a prime time for them, but count on one being there at that time.
south on st. rt. 532 just as you enter into mogadore
just as you enter into mogadore there is a hill down then up. after the up side of the hill there is a row of pine trees on the right where cops will sit behind taking radar. then the speed limit sign has been moved some 600 feet closer where it goes from a 35 to a 25 by the golf course. there is a small hill there where cops will sit in the now 25 mph zone catching people driving 35 because they don’t realize they moved the sign!
Cleveland – aka St Rt 532 Avenue near Golf Course
The Village has appeared to relocate the 25mph signs sometime in late 2007. That speed used to take affect after Highland Ave, as you were heading South on St Rt 532.
Now you must reduce approximatly 1/4 mile earlier.
They have been running radar often.
Cleveland – aka St Rt 532 Avenue near Spillway
They sit at the bottom with lights off in the parking lots of a couple of businesses. They catch people coming either way, North or South bound. Speed Limit is 35, but going down a hill…well you know the rest!
Gillcrest Road near Mogadore Industrial Parkway
