State Highway 27 near Small motor lodge on right side

Oxford, OhioJul 31, 20041 Comments

Entering Oxford from the south, after you pass a small motel on your right and head down the hill, the speed limit goes from 55 to 45 to 35 near the bottom of the hill. OPD and more recently MUPD will be waiting for you at the bottom at various times of the day, mostly evening rush hour and late nights Wednesday through Sunday. Sometimes they leave the gun on, sometimes they spot check you, sometimes they just sit there and their presence is enough to slow traffic. On occasion when they’re feeling particularly ornery, they will hide down a small path off the road in a group of trees, virtually invisible to passing motorists. If you coast down this hill, most cars will be going about 45-50 at the bottom, definitely fast enough for a ticket.

Weeb Ewbank Way

Miami U Police run radar on this "so called" street. The road is actually a driveway to a parking lot on the west side of the basketball assembly hall. The speed limit is 15 mph and Miami will issue a ticket for anything over 21 mph.
