Painesville, Ohio Speed Traps
route 90 (east-west) between route 44 south and vrooman road
dropped speed from 70 to 60 (no warning signs) the speed was 70 for years and ODOT said it was weather related. There were no accidents but the state highway patrol constantly mans the 3 mile strip and many times you can see them giving a ticket in both the east and west bound lanes within site of each other.
Rt. 44 over Rt. 90. 45 mph over the bridge only.
If you are coming in from Chardon or getting off of 90 onto 44, it is 45 mph for about 1/2 mile. Big money maker, but not sure where they hide.
Rt 2 west or East Grand River near Painesville
State troppers sit in turn around
Rt 2 freeway right by Grand River
That is one their hot area
They might not be for days.
Then look out
Rt. 20 West Bound by Rt 2 and Rt 20 Split
After you pass the 2 & 20 split and are heading west on rt. 20, the bridge over the freeway, there is a building on the right where the sheriff department sit. The speed goes from 45 to 40 mph, and if you are heading east on the bridge it is only 35 mph. So one direction is 40 and the other side is 35 heading the other direction. This is messed up!
RAVENNA RD/ CR-601. Road near Girdled Road
