Russell, Ohio Speed Traps

The officers sit on Fairmount in various places, east of Caves Road where the speed limit drops for no reason, from 45 mph to 35mph. The only reason seems to be so that they can raise revenue.

Officers are always on out patrol. Certain officers just do ‘traffic’ and will stop anyone that has a junky vehicle or has a minor equipment violation on it i.e. No rear illumination (license plate light) or ‘no front license plate’ It’s a petty stop but they are out to shop around to get an arrest. I think they can find more to do than harassing people.
