Sagamore Hills, Ohio Speed Traps

Officer sits shooting radar in either the driveway to Sagamore Hills park or in the next gravel driveway west. He hides behind the foliage waiting for motorists to exceed the 40 mph limit after coming down a slight hill. A speed study was supposed to be conducted on this road, but it was forgotten about.

I frequently spot a Sagamore Hills police cruiser sitting in one of two places.

1. In the driveway of the Sagamore Hills Animal Hospital.

2. Behind some thick trees/shrubbery just west of the animal hospital.

While traveling westbound on Valley View Road, there will be a fairly steep, long hill with a pedestrian bridge over it just before the animal hospital driveway. The speed limit here is 40 MPH, as it does not change to 50 MPH until a few hundred feet before Chaffe Road, I believe. I drive down this hill regularly, and it is very difficult to keep your speed under 40 MPH while descending this hill unless you really ride your brake. Do not just coast on this hill, or you may find you have a lighter wallet.

On Houghton Rd near the intersection with Troubadour drive (Eaton Estates Entrance) A sagamore hills cruiser like to hide behind a small mound of dirt behind a power line tower.

Alternatively, they like to hide in the driveways of some of the condos right off Houghton in that same area.
