South 8th Street/South Clark Road area   El Centro, California

The speed is 40 before the freeway overpass and 50 after the overpass. This area has a lot of traffic as the county jail is south of that area; and during shift changes, there is a lot of traffic. I wouldn't call this a "speed trap", but people need to be more careful in this area before a child gets hit or falls into the canal on the east side of the road.

Interstate 8 near Ocatillo Wells   El Centro, California

As you come down the grade from San Diego on Interstate 8, as you hit the desert floor, there are usually one or two patrol cars cruising the road. Also on some occasions, they use a helicopter or airplane. The speed limit is 70mph but average speeds are a little faster than that. It's just better to be safe and go the limit until you pass El Centro. It's a long stretch of road, but they enforce it fairly well.

Imperial Avenue near Hamilton Avenue   El Centro, California

The Police are always out on Imperial Ave. in the mornings. I see at least one car stopped every morning. It's good that they are out there because there are alot of kids walking to school and it would be awful if one got hit because someone was driving too fast.
