On St Rte 54 through small town of Catawba Ohio.   Springfield, Ohio

St Rte 54 runs north and south through small town of Catawba Ohio. On south end, part time cop sits in a closed school parking lot obscured by building, on north end in church parking lot by another building. These areas are downhill which typically requires tapping the brake to stay under the 35 mph speed limit. He stops violators outside of town which is dangerous because of the narrow road with small shoulder preventing cars from getting off the road. The road is frequently traveled by semis between St Rte 4 and I70.

Troy Rd. (SR41) and N. Bechtle Ave.   Springfield, Ohio

This area is patrolled heavily by the Police. This intersection and area must have a large number of serious injury crashes to get this kind of attention. The speed limit here is 35 mph even though just west of here is 45 mph. So if your are in town and headed west out of town, keep your speed down until you are out by the SR68 overpass, and if you are east bound coming into town, start slowing down after the SR68 overpass before you get to the light at Bechtle and you should be just fine. Oh, and beware, there are (unconstitutional) red light cameras at that intersection as well.

Speeding Tickets

You deserve every speeding ticket you get. You can complain all you want after the fact, but it's true.
Find out why.

It's one of the "great" American past times: complaining about unfair speeding tickets. There are two types of people when it comes to complaining about this particular type of traffic ticket. Which group are you in?
