Warrensville Heights, Ohio Speed Traps
Interstate 480 near Warrensville Center Road
When traveling West, be cautious as you approach the under-pass for Warrensville Center Road. This is a very complex exchange since traffic from I-271 meets I-480 and everyone tries to position themselves in the proper lane. I’m not opposed to the notion that drivers should slow down, but the patrolman parks his car behind a bridge support, steps out of his car and shoots lidar from behind the support to catch speeders. My real problem is that they often set up this trap on Sunday mornings when there is little traffic, so it’s obvious they’re simply trying to generate revenue, not make the road safer.
Interstate 480 near Miles Road
As you pass the Miles Road exit take notice of the bridge coming ahead. The unit tracking speeds is usually on the bridge or completely out of passing traffic view behind bridge poles on onramp (emergency area). Ticket issuing vehicles proceed from onramp area to issue violations.
