Washingtonville, Ohio Speed Traps

Westbound, when exiting Salem, entering Washingtonville, while heading towards Columbiana. They sit on the left hand side of the road. Across the street from the old bank.

This village has been a notorious speed trap going back to the early fifties. Coming from the West you better be going the speed limit while entering the village, yhey will be sitting at the bank on the right or the service station on the left. Coming from the East they will be laying in at the church on the right or the gas station on the right.

They sit usually in Huntington Banks parking lot…or the pharmacy…or wherever there is a small opening. They will pick you for one or two miles over the speed limit. I’ve heard that they give some concessions to residents of Washingtonville…go the speed limit. They will get you.

They sit at edge of bank parking lot by the bushes. Hard to see them.
