St. Rt. 199 or Cygnet Rd.   West Millgrove, Ohio

If you are entering from the south speed limit quickly drops from 55 to 50 and then 35, then there is a curve. This town of less than 200 has uniformed patrol officers that catch you on radar as you round the slight curve, both ways, or park off to the side at village limits. Caution, if a patrol car follows you out of town, do not accelarate beyond 35 MPH till he loses interest and turns around. These cops have been know to lock on to a vehicle outside the village limits and say they were speeding within their village. This town has had past scandals involving their patrol officers and investigations by the State of Ohio.

The local cop will sit at either end of the town along the road, in a side street or parking lot. Locals know to slow to exactly the speed limit and you will see often see folks flashing your their brights to signal the cop is out. No forgivness on the posted 35 MPH.

State Route 199 near Main Street   West Millgrove, Ohio

Every area person who's traveled through this town (including me) knows what a speedtrap town this can be. I was cited for doing 43 (which I'm sure I wasn't)in a 35 mph zone on a Saturday night at 10 p.m. with not a car in sight. $90 fine! They like to sit at either end and catch you as you first enter the town.
