Speed changes from 65 to 55 with no warning. City cop just over rise with radar gun on 55 mph sign. Don’t start slowing down when you see the 55 mph sign – be there!
No warnings and no reduction in mph violation. Main source of revnue for the town.
US Highway Route 66 near State Highway Route 66 East
Heading East towards Chelsea, just as you come over a very small hill entring the town on Hwy66, the speed limit drops immediately just before, during and after the small hill. Beware of the short mound of a hill it looks safe but you cannot see over it in time. Very deceiving and the seed limit is reduced from 60/70mph to 45 to 40 to 35 withing a 1/4 to 1/2 mile.

You will find Chelsea PD parked in the center medians or on the railroad right of way. If you are more the two miles over the speed limit they will stop you.
Hwy 66 & 4th St.
Hides behind mini-storage on 4th St. Speed limit is posted only on signs as you come in to town not on city streets. Minimum fine is $135. Are told you are clocked with radar. When asked for proof, they are unable to show the radar, or say that you were paced instead.
