South City Limits of Durant
Officers often, actually most of the time, either patrol this area cruising South from downtown to the city limits or sit at the South City Limit sign. The speed is 65 upon entry and drops to 55 which is the point they attempt to get you. But, they will get you anywhere between the South City Limit sign and the Casino area; they actually prey on those going to Choctaw Casino in Durant. They often use a green pickup.
Highway 69/75 north of Durant and 5 miles south of Tushka at the Caney road exit
The OSHP has used this area so much that the local people have posted signs prior to the speed trap. There are several rolling hills with exits to cross over from the opposite lane of this 4 lane highway. The OSHP sits in one of these exits. The mile marker is unknown at this time but slow down when going north at the "BEEF & BEAN" restaurant and slow down when going south 4-5 miles after going through Tushka at the Caney Creek Bridge. This is a work zone and the speed is 50 mph or less.
