Mosquito Ridge Road   Foresthill, California

CHP now stationed full-time on this 35-mile, dead-end road headed out of Foresthill (a favorite road for sportbikes). Locals have gotten tired of all the sportbikers racing and crashing on this road, and have hired a CHP to patrol this road full-time. Speed limit is 40 mph, which is probably correct for cars but if you're on a bike you can find yourself going much faster. The CHP is on a mission to take back this road from the sportbikers, and will ticket anyone going over the posted 40 mph limit...I've heard of people getting tickets for 41-42 mph. There are other great motorcycle roads in the area...skip this one for the time being.

Find out why.

It's one of the "great" American past times: complaining about unfair speeding tickets. There are two types of people when it comes to complaining about this particular type of traffic ticket. Which group are you in?
