NW Expressway & MacArthur Ave

There is usually a Warr Acres police officer that will sit in the parking lot of the Lido Fun center facing SE on NW Expressway. For those of you traveling NW, it is right after the top of the crest so be sure to modulate your speed extremely well as you navigate over the hill. I have seen them here, or in the middle of NW expressway MANY nights, this entire area is extremely dangerous from 11PM-4AM. Once you reach Meridian (Where their jurisdiction ends) you should be safe.

Warr Acres police department will sit on the side streets between NW 50th and NW 63rd streets and watch traffic through the construction zone. It is posted at 25 mph and believe me you better do 24mph or they will pull you over. I work at an apartment complex in the zone and watch them pull people over all day. And for you people who fly through the area, just remember that there are children everywhere. If you get stopped for speeding in a construction zone in Warr Acres, you deserve it.

This area is a KNOWN speed trap to those of us who live and work in this area. The speed limit lowers from 40 MPH to 35 MPH, but the signage is wholely inadiquate and is listed on "one tiny sign". These officers hide their cars in a church parking lot and nail anyone and everyone that misses the ONE tiny sign! It doesn’t matter to them that the sign is too small to be seen, and is inside an area where there are far too many other signs to attempt to read while trying to watch your speedometer. This has to change… Besides that, anyone who’s ever driven through Warr Acres "knows" about the many other speed traps in this city! This is just one of many…
