Ayr, Ontario Speed Traps
Greenfield road
The speed trap on the main st in greenfield is very interestig because there are no shoulders onthe road , so the cops have prearranged with the home owners to use their driveways to hide in with their radar.Be careful because they move around from one driveway to another. Ithink waterloo regional cops live in this village. I hope these greenfield residents never speed in someone elses community.
Spragues Road near Forest/Trail Area
Coming From Ayr/Paris – heading towards Cambridge on Spragues Road. As you enter the heavily forested area (approx 2-3 km. from Wrigley Road) the police tend to sit in the driveway to the forest/recreational trail. I’ve also seen them sitting just past Beke Road (on the right hand side) hiding behind some trees.
Greenfield Road near Ayr and Trussler Road
Just outside the village of Ayr off Ayr road in Greenfield. Between Trussler road, and Ayr road is a short stretch of road called Greenfield road. There is about 50 houses on this stretch and the speed limit is 50km per hour. Speed traps in the middle of this stretch of road are very common, usually in the afternoons on week days, and all day on weekends.
