Astoria Megler Bridge   Astoria, Oregon

They radar you from the ground on the Oregon side, when you are going northbound on the down slope of the bridge, more then a quarter mile away, then send a patrol to catch you on bridge. With bridge 4 miles long, they then stop you on the Washington side.

Wiliamsport Road   Astoria, Oregon

Going Down the steep winding road to the recycling center. There is a traffic sign at the top of the hill saying 20 Mph, it is a steep winding road and you pickup speed. He sits off the side of the road on a curve catching vehicles going up or down the hill.

Lexington Street   Astoria, Oregon

City police frequently posted at the bottom of a steep hill waiting to entrap motorists coming off the hill at a speed above the speed limit. Motorists cannot keep vehicle at speed limit unless they ride thir brakes. There is no reason to use the brakes until you reach the next rise which has an intersecting road from the south where the motorists at the stop sign cannot see vehicles coming from the east.
