I-84 between 370 and 355.   Baker City, Oregon

There are three pretty big hills about 10 miles NW of Ontario. They like to hang out there where a motorist might get up a little too much speed on the downhill side(s). Note: Please check your reference mile markers on I-84. Baker City is at 305, Ontario, the east state line, is at 377, and it starts at 0 somewhere at or near Portland. The reversal of the mile markers may be confusing to motorists not familiar with the area.

Interstate I-84 near Mile Marker 136-98   Baker City, Oregon

Highway Patrol Office is located in Baker City, OR. They cruise the interstate approx. 30 miles East of Baker City and cruise approx 4 miles West Of LaGrande, OR. They hide on the Westbound side at around the 104 milemarker, any time day and night. They especially patrol the construction areas and show no mercy for any speed infractions within these. They will stop you for going 4 miles per hour over the posted speed limit everywhere. Especially big trucks. And they like to hide in all the rest areas West of Baker City, OR (Around Lad Pass). Then another speed trap is located East of Pendleton,OR approx 2 miles before the first Pendleton exit going westbound, where the officer sits behind a hill (westbound)in the middle. He cannot be seen from either direction until you are right on him and therefore busted.

Speeding Tickets

You deserve every speeding ticket you get. You can complain all you want after the fact, but it's true.
Find out why.

It's one of the "great" American past times: complaining about unfair speeding tickets. There are two types of people when it comes to complaining about this particular type of traffic ticket. Which group are you in?
