motorcycle or sqaud cars will sometimes sit facing north on Hawthorne close to the intersection on the Les Shwab side of the road, to radar westbound traffic on Pacific Ave and possibly northern Hawthorne.
19th Avenue near Cedar Street
Usually motorcycle officer (most times 2 of them) sit in church driveway (without permission, I asked) with handheld radar pointed at eastbound traffic. Limit is 25 until next block where it becomes 30. This spot active most every day and they get lots of violations here.
State Highway 47 near Masonic Way
The speed goes from 45 to 30 after you move around the corner. Masonic Way is located after the train tracks where the speed limit changes to 30 between the tracks and Pacific Highway (HWY 6). The limit is enforced between there and the pacific Highway interchange. The local police park at masonic way waiting for somebody going 40 before coasting to a stop at the light that loves to stay red. Randomly there are speed traps/red light enforcement at the intersection with multiple cars, and multiple motorcycles. It is easy to be going a bit over 30 before the tracks due to the fact there is a bend in the HWY 47 where many people enter the highway from Martin Road needing to accelerate so they don’t get rearended etc.
1400 B Street near State Highway 47
Motorcycle patrolman positions at end of bridge on B Street approx. 8ths of a mile north of Junction with State Hwy. 47.
