Hanford, California Speed Traps
Houston and 7th avenue
It’s 9pm at night on Houston ave and the conditons are dark. highway patrol car sits on the side of the road with all of his lights off and doesnt even have his Parking lights on. He’s is very hidden and as soon as I cross him he turns on all his lights totally scaring me. I didn’t even know he was their at all. So I turn on 7th ave because I was on my way home . Then he tells me I was speeding at 73 and he got me from 800 away with lidar unit. I also asked him when his lidar unit was last calibrated he didn’t give me a clear answer first he said every 30 days and then stated it’s calibrated everyday when I leave the office but I don’t do it.
At the North end of 10th Ave just before the HWY 43 entrance
Motor cop sits right behind a small row of bushes on the SOUTHBOUND side of 10th and can gun you from the intersection of Fargo and 10th Ave( approx 1/4 mile!! ) If you see him…your tooo late!!!
N. Irwin Street near Grangeville Boulevard
Two motorcycle cops sit under the trees on the east side of Irwin facing Grangeville Blvd. It is nice to know the area is patrolled during schools hours. The high school students can’t get to their lunches fast enough. Non-high school drivers need to watch your speed as well.
6th Street near 11th Avenue
A motorcycle cops sits and waits. It’s posted at 25mph but the next street over is 35mph (both considered resedential). Most people travel 35 down this road because 35 seems to be a safe speed. City of Hanford refuses to do a speed study. Ten miles over costs approx. $250 for this fine.
Grangeville Boulevard near Kensington
Motorcycle cop sits in driveway on south side of grangeville blvd next to rest home during high school lunch hour and watches for the School zone Speed Limit… 25mph… Watch your speeds… Gets them everytime
