Hwy 39 coming into town limits from North or East, but particularly from the North   Merrill, Oregon

The speed limit on Hwy 39 drops from 55 to 45 to 30mph in a bit under a quarter of a mile, and you better be slowing way down when you see the 45mph sign. Particularly when you are driving into Merrill from the North, from Klamath Falls, you will hit the 30mph sign very soon after the 45 sign, and therre will be a cop car sitting in a side street just where Hwy 39 turns and enters town. They are very strict on the 30mph - no 5 mph grace.
