Highway 58 at Pleasant Hill   Pleasant Hill, Oregon

A lot of tickets are written in this area. The 45 MPH zone is about 2 1/2 miles in length. But the normal Highway signs are placed at a couple of places in each direction. In addition, a portion of the 45 MPH zone is reduced to 20 MPH zone, when the yellow flashing lights are displayed, for about a quarter of a mile near the Pleasant Hill Schools. I don't think any of this is a speed trap. It is a busy spot for the police simply because the public sometimes ignores the speed limit signs.

State Highway 58 near Bristow Road   Pleasant Hill, Oregon

There is a large tree on the North side of the street that cops hide under the shade of. The speed limit is 45.

Highway 58   Pleasant Hill, Oregon

Highway speed of 55 mph drops to 45 mph in area of Pleasant Hill. State Patrol sits off side of road just over crest of hill. Signage is not that good so that it is not hard to miss the drop down in speed requirement. No warning -- just hands you the ticket with notice to appear in court or other options noted on back of ticket.

Speeding Tickets

You deserve every speeding ticket you get. You can complain all you want after the fact, but it's true.
Find out why.

It's one of the "great" American past times: complaining about unfair speeding tickets. There are two types of people when it comes to complaining about this particular type of traffic ticket. Which group are you in?
