Hercules, California Speed Traps

CHP will occasionally camp in front of the Hercules off ramp immediately after coming over the hill from Pinole. Usually during night time, impossible to see before being trapped.

Hercules Ave towards the water (Fawcett), 25 MPH, police often ticket speeders headed down the slope.

Police sit on Iris Rd. before school and after school waiting to catch speeders going down the hill. The posted speed limit is 25 mph.

On San Pablo Avenue between Hercules and Pinole the speed limit goes from 40 mph (Hercules) to 25 mph (Pinole). And Pinole police like to wait on side streets.

Cops like to sit right above wood field park catching people making rolling stops coming down from Violet as well as speeders going up and down lupine
