Intersection of Martinazzi Rd. & Avery Rd.   Tualatin, Oregon

Tualatin police will park their car on the East side of this intersection up by the apartment complex, and the officer will get out of the car and stand with the hand-held laser on the corner. As you head South on Martinazzi after passing Sagert, you climb a small hill, crest the hill, and come down towards this intersection. You can't see the police car from the top of the crest, and you don't notice that somebody is standing at the intersection pointing something at you until it's too late. This is a residential 25 mph zone, and if you've picked up speed coming down the hill towards that intersection you're busted!

Interstate I-5 near Exit Number 289   Tualatin, Oregon

I-5 traveling north, once you pass I-205, before Tualatin exit 289 the speed limit drops from 65 to 55. And they don't mean 56. Heavily patrolled late at night. Cops usually park in center median and radar traffic.

65th Avenue near Sagert Road   Tualatin, Oregon

Just south of Sagert Road, and just north of the I-205 overpass. Tualatin PD will back a patrol car into the woods by Atfalati Park, behind a fenced in utility enclosure. If you are heading northbound (toward the hospital) you can not see the car sitting there until you are already passing it, and you are just reaching the bottom of a fairly steep hill when you do, so it is very easy to be significantly exceeding the 35 m.p.h. speed limit on this stretch of road. I have not been caught, but have seen an officer hiding there many times.

Interstate I-5 Northbound near Prior to Nyberg Road Exit Road   Tualatin, Oregon

This stretch of NB I-5 is nasty because the speed limit changes from 65 to 55 and it is on a downhill plane. There are bushes in the median where the patrol cars love to hide (particularly on Saturday and Sunday mornings to catch the hangover crowd). Not really a threat during the week, but still bears watching.

Speeding Tickets

You deserve every speeding ticket you get. You can complain all you want after the fact, but it's true.
Find out why.

It's one of the "great" American past times: complaining about unfair speeding tickets. There are two types of people when it comes to complaining about this particular type of traffic ticket. Which group are you in?
